- If you click on the green "Install" button at the top left, the app will be downloaded and installed.
- A note then appears in the top right, which you can use to open the app directly.
Get started with video moments
Once you have opened the app, you have two options at the bottom right. Either you record a video with your webcam or you choose an existing one.
- "Record video": If you select the first option, you can record a video directly. To do this, click on "Allow". You can start and stop the recording with a click of the mouse or with the space bar.
- "Select video": If you click the plus button, you can select a video on your computer and then load it into the app via "Open".
- Shorten: At the bottom of the progress bar of the video you will see two points. With these you can mark the start and end point of the video. However, the entire video can only be a maximum of 60 seconds long.
- Splitting: If you right-click on a free area, the "Splitting" option appears in the lower left. There you can spread the 60 seconds across different sections of the video.
- Music: On the right you will find the "Music" button, with which you can either place your own music or melodies suggested by Microsoft under the video. You can also mute the video there.
- Captions: On the progress bar you will see a purple icon with a speech bubble. Drag the icon to the desired point on the video and click on it to insert a label. There you can now create any text and choose between many different layouts.
- Preview: If you have everything ready so far, click on the "Preview" button at the bottom right. The app now optimizes your video a little and inserts all effects. You can now watch the finished video again.
- Save: If you are satisfied with the video, click the "Save" button at the bottom right or "Share" the video. If you would like to edit the video again, click on "Edit" and adjust the video further.
