Mail app in Windows 8.1: Set up the settings correctly
In order to get the most out of the mail app, you should make a few settings:
- The mail app loads new mails from the server at certain intervals. You can also schedule the email retrieval.
- The default signature for new emails is "Sent from Windows Mail". You can turn the signature off or change it.
- The Windows 8.1 app does not display images embedded in emails with the default settings. If you always want to display embedded images, you can configure this in the settings.
- With multiple mail accounts it can quickly become confusing. You can therefore customize the account names individually.
- If you no longer need an account in the app, you can remove the mail account.
