Windows 8.1: Display two websites side by side using Internet Explorer
To start Internet Explorer in Metro look, the browser must be defined as the default browser. If you start Internet Explorer in a classic design, first follow these instructions.
- Click the Windows button at the bottom left of the screen so that you are on the start page.
- If you click on the tile for Internet Explorer, if you have one, or simply enter "Internet" on your keyboard, Internet Explorer appears as the search result on the right.
- Once this has started, click on the button with the two leaves at the bottom right, which stands for the tabs (see picture).
- If you click the plus button in the top right, you have opened a second tab.
- Right click on a tab and select the option "Open tab in new window".
- The Internet Explorer is then split. You have a full browser on both the left and right.
