Windows 8/10: Remove taskbar on second monitor
If you use several monitors under Windows 8 and 10, there is a task bar on both. This practical tip shows you how to remove them from the second monitor.
Windows 8 and 10: Remove the taskbar of the second monitor
If you connect a second monitor in Windows 8 or 10, Windows will duplicate the taskbar on the second screen. If you do not want this, you can only limit the taskbar to one monitor:
- To do this, right-click on an empty space on the Windows taskbar.
- In the context menu, select the "Properties" entry.
- In the "Taskbar" tab, remove the option "Show taskbar on all display devices".
- Note: The option is only displayed if your PC is connected to the second monitor.
