Windows 8: delete old printers - so it'll work

If you are no longer using a printer, you can delete the old device in Windows 8. In this guide, we show you how to do this.

Delete old printers in Windows 8

1. Open the Control Panel and select the category "Hardware and Sound".
2. Click on "Devices and Printers" above and find the device you want.
3. Right click on the printer and select the "Remove Device" option.
4. Windows now deletes all information about the printer and removes it from the list.
5. Then you should also delete the old printer driver. More on this in the video below.
