Windows 8: delete old printers - so it'll work
If you are no longer using a printer, you can delete the old device in Windows 8. In this guide, we show you how to do this.
Delete old printers in Windows 8
- Open the Control Panel and select the category "Hardware and Sound".
- Click on "Devices and Printers" above and find the device you want.
- Right click on the printer and select the "Remove Device" option.
- Windows now deletes all information about the printer and removes it from the list.
- Then you should also delete the old printer driver. More on this in the video below.
