You can quickly solve this problem with the following tips:
- Check whether the Caps Lock key on the PC is activated. This ensures that capital is permanently capitalized.
- With laptops it can also happen that the [Fn] key is activated. Since the keyboard on the laptop is limited, some keys have a double assignment that can be used with [Fn].
- If you accidentally deleted your Microsoft account, you have to wait at least 30 days before you can log on to Windows 8. In this case, it is best to contact Microsoft Support.
- If you've forgotten your password, you can have it sent to your Microsoft account email address.
- Try signing in with a different Microsoft account.
- If that works, insert the CD / DVD and boot from it. Select "Repair" in the selection menu and follow the instructions.
- If that didn't help, you can repair the account using the Windows CD.
Windows 8: Repair user account
- Sign in to a different Microsoft account.
- Click "Start"> "Run". Enter "regedit" and confirm with [Enter]. The registry editor is started.
- Change there to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ ProfileList".
- Here look for the folder "S-1-5" followed by a long number. Right click on it and choose "Rename".
- Remove the extension ".bak" and save with [Enter].
- Now click on "RefCount" on the right and enter the number "0" as "Value". Confirm with OK".
- Repeat this process for the "Start" entry. Finally, you have to restart your PC.
