Windows 8: Show on-screen keyboard at startup
If you do not have a keyboard or a tablet, you can have the on-screen keyboard displayed on Windows 8 at startup. We'll show you how it's done.
Start the on-screen keyboard automatically in Windows 8
- Press the "Windows" and "W" keys on your keyboard at the same time, so that the search opens on the right.
- Enter "Center" there and click on "Ease of Access Center". This then opens in a new window.
- Scroll down and select the option "Use a computer without a mouse or keyboard".
- Place a checkmark in front of the item "Use on-screen keyboard" and click on "OK" below.
- The on-screen keyboard is now always displayed at startup. Once you have closed it, you can reactivate it manually by right-clicking on the taskbar under "Toolbars" and "On-screen keyboard".
