Windows 8: Send file via Bluetooth - how it works
This guide shows you how to send files via Bluetooth under Windows 8. We use an Android smartphone without root.
Windows: Send files to your smartphone via Bluetooth
First, make sure that Bluetooth is activated on the PC. You can see how this works in another practical tip and in the video above.
- Then stay in the PC settings in the "Bluetooth" section, switch on the Bluetooth function on your smartphone and pair both devices.
- If the pairing is confirmed on the smartphone and PC, you can close the PC settings on the computer.
- Then call up the desired file on the PC and open the context menu by right-clicking on the file.
- Now select "Send file with Bluetooth" and select the desired device (see picture).
- A window will then appear on your smartphone, in which you must confirm the receipt of the file.
- Now the transfer of the file begins. The current status is displayed on the computer and smartphone.
Tip: With Bluetooth speakers, you can get clear sound at home without the hassle of cables. Stiftung Warentest subjected the loudspeakers to a sound check and shows which loudspeakers are real sound miracles.
