Windows 8: Uninstall individual updates - how it works
If you do not like a specific update in Windows 8 or cause problems, you can uninstall it individually. We'll show you how.
Windows 8: Uninstall a single update
- Open the Control Panel by going to your programs and clicking on "Control Panel". Alternatively, you can type "Control Panel" on the tile start page and click on the corresponding search result on the right.
- In the category view, click on "Programs" and then on "Programs and Features". In the classic view, select "Programs and Features" directly.
- Then click on "Show installed updates" in the new window on the left.
- Right-click the update you want to remove and click "Uninstall". You may have to confirm a security query or enter your administrator password.
