Windows 8: You can do this against network problems
Airplane mode must be turned off to connect to the network.
- Click the notification icon in the system tray to check.
- Also make sure that all cables are properly connected and that the cables are not defective.
- If you connect to a protected WiFi network, you have to enter the corresponding key or password correctly.
- When configuring the WLAN network, you must also ensure that the correct radio standard and the appropriate encryption are selected.
- To be able to connect to the Internet, the drivers of your network card must be up to date. Check the manufacturer's website for more information.
- There may also be a defect in your network card that is causing the error. In this case you have to replace the card.
- In some cases, network diagnostics can help. To open it, right-click on the network icon in the task bar and select "Troubleshoot".
- Then follow the instructions to identify and correct any problems.
