Windows 8: Create playlist and pin it to "Start"
In Windows 8, you can create your own playlists with the music app and pin them directly to the start screen. So you have one click of your favorite music and can play it in the background. In this guide, we show you how to do this.
Step 1: create playlist on Windows 8
- Click the Windows icon at the bottom left to switch to the home screen.
- Open the "Music" app here or simply type "Music" on the keyboard.
- Now you have to click on the "New playlist" button at the bottom left and enter a name.
- Then switch to the "Collection" and choose the songs you want.
- Once you have found a good song, click on it and select the playlist behind the plus symbol.
- If you switch back to the playlist, you can also sort the tracks later with the mouse.
Step 2: Pin the playlist to the start screen
- If you have successfully created the playlist in the music app, open it first.
- Click on the menu button with the three dots below the name of the playlist.
- If you select the option "Pin to start screen", the playlist will appear there.
- Click on the tile to open the music app and start the playlist directly.
