If you do not always want to set the time and date manually, you can also synchronize the data with an Internet server:
- To do this, open the date and clock settings again as in steps 1 to 3.
- In the new window, switch to the "Internet clock" tab.
- Click on "Settings" and check "Synchronize with an Internet server".
- Enter the server address "time.windows.com" in the field below and save your settings with "Ok".
- If you click "OK" again, Windows 8 automatically compares the date and time with the Internet. So you don't even have to worry about the time change.
If you travel a lot, you can have multiple time zones displayed in the taskbar in Windows 8.
