Windows 8: Read version number of apps
You can easily read out the version number of a Windows 8 app. The way leads through the Charms menu.

- Press the "Windows" key on your keyboard to switch to the Metro interface.
- Click on the app you want to open so that the application starts.
- If you move the mouse into the upper right corner of the screen, the Charm Bar opens. Select the "Settings" item below.
- At the top right you will find the "Info" option (see picture). There you can see the version number under the name of the app.
