If you do not want to use the Aero Shake function under Windows, you can simply deactivate it. We show you how this works in this guide.
Disable Aero Shake on Windows
Aero Shake minimizes all windows as soon as you hold a window with the mouse and shake it back and forth. This can be helpful, but it can also be annoying. The following steps deactivate the feature.
- Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "regedit" here and confirm with "OK". Then the registry editor opens.
- Navigate to the path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \" on the left.
- If you cannot find the "Explorer" key here, right-click the "Windows" key and select a key under "New". Call it "Explorer".
- Right-click on a free space and select a "DWORD value (32-bit)" under "New".
- Name the value in "NoWindowMinimizingShortcuts", open it with a double click and set the value to "1".
- Close the two windows and restart Windows. Aero Shake is then deactivated.
