Windows: monkey handle - what is it?
In this practical tip, we explain what the so-called "monkey grip" is all about. Windows users particularly often use this key combination, which is hidden behind the term from the animal world.
This is the monkey grip on Windows and Mac
The monkey handle is the emergency solution for all Windows users when nothing works. You must have used it after, for example, you couldn't close a program. This is the monkey grip:
- For Windows users: Press the [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] keys simultaneously.
- For Apple users: [Alt] + [Cmd] + [Del]
One handle - many functions
After you have made the monkey handle, your current screen content disappears and is replaced by a small menu (see screenshot). You can now select several options and, for example, start the "Task Manager". With this task manager you can easily close your currently open programs.
- Tip: If you make your Windows Explorer more stable, you will save yourself future monkey handles.
