$ Windows. ~ Delete Bt - it's easy
Windows stores installation files for Windows 10 in the $ Windows. ~ Bt folder. This costs valuable storage space. The folder can only be deleted using the data carrier cleanup. We'll show you how to get rid of the folder.
$ Windows. ~ Delete Bt - prevent update to Windows 10
- Windows loads the installation files for the update to Windows 10 into the $ Windows folder. ~ Bt.
- To prevent this, you have to prevent the update. You can see how to do this in the video above.
- Alternatively, you can use the "CHIP Windows 10 Forced Update Stopper" to prevent the update files from being downloaded.
$ Windows. ~ Delete Bt with Disk Cleanup
If you don't want to switch to Windows 10, the update doesn't have to be lying around on your computer unnecessarily. After all, the update takes up a full 6 gigabytes of storage space.
- Open the Run window with the key combination [Windows] + [R], enter "cleanmgr.exe" and confirm with [Enter].
- The disk cleanup opens. Select drive C and click "OK". The tool scans the drive for data that is no longer needed.
- In the next window, check "Temporary Windows installation files" and click "OK". Sometimes you have to click on "Clean system files" beforehand.
- Confirm the selection by clicking on "Delete files".
