Windows: Uninstall printer - how it works
If you no longer need a printer in Windows, you can uninstall it. In our instructions, we will show you how to do this.
Uninstall printer in Windows 7 and Windows 8
- First open the Control Panel: In Windows 7, open the Start menu and select "Control Panel" on the right. In Windows 8 and 8.1, switch to the start screen and type "Control Panel". Select the entry found in the search field.
- Search for "Devices and Printers" or "Show devices and printers" in the Control Panel (if you are using the category view).
- Right-click on the printer you want to uninstall and select "Remove Device".
- Confirm the security question with "Yes".
