Windows: Undo individual updates - how it works
If individual Windows updates cause problems, they can also be undone after the installation. In this practical tip, we will show you how to do this.
Undo Windows updates - how it works
- Open the control panel. Windows 7 users first click on the start button and then on "Control Panel". In Windows 8, first open the Charms bar and then click on "Settings" and then on "Control Panel".
- Click on "Programs and Features" (Windows 7) or "Programs and Features" (Windows 8). Category view users must first select "Programs".
- In the new window on the left select "Show installed updates".
- Right-click on the update you want to undo. Then select "Uninstall". If you are asked to confirm the process or enter an administrator password, you should do so.
