Windows shuts down automatically - what to do?
If your Windows PC shuts down automatically even though you have not selected it, there can be several reasons. We will tell you how to fix this in this article.
Windows restarts automatically - what to do?
Sometimes Windows corrects system errors in the background and then restarts automatically afterwards.
- To prevent this, open the Control Panel.
- Here you look for the sub-item "System", which gives you an overview of your operating system and the installed hardware. You can also open this overview by entering "System" in the search.
- In the menu on the left, choose the entry "Advanced system settings".
- Under the item "Start and restore" click on "Settings".
- Under "System error" you will find the "Automatically restart" item. This is activated by default.
- Remove the check mark and save the change with a click on "OK".
In the next practical tip, you will learn what you can do if Windows does not start at all.
