Windows error: you need permissions to perform the operation - what to do?

- Before proceeding with the tips below, you should make sure that you are logged in as an administrator.
- Then right-click on the file and select "Properties".
- You can then see the permissions in the "Security" tab. Your user name should have "full access" here.
- If this is not the case, click the "Edit" button and then "Add". Enter your user name in the field and confirm with "OK".
- In some cases, it can also help if you change the owner of the folder. Under "Security", click "Advanced" below.
- You will then see the owner. To change it, click on "Change" next to it.
