Windows: Show windows side by side
If you want to display two windows side by side on the computer, you can do it click-by-click in Windows - or with a clever trick. Here's how to share the full screen.
How to display windows side by side in Windows
- Close all unnecessary windows and programs so that only the two windows you want to work with remain open.
- Right-click on the taskbar and select "Show windows side by side".
- Now the two open windows, for example two Word documents, are arranged directly next to each other. With three windows, your screen will be divided into three, with four different windows quartered and so on. However, this only makes sense for very large screens.
It works even easier for two windows with a shortcut and with the mouse:
- Click on the first window and then tap the Win key + [right arrow]. Do the same for the second window and press Win key + [left arrow].
- Alternatively, "grab" the window with the left mouse button and move it to the far left or right of the screen. Then it is automatically adjusted to the corresponding half of the display.
