Windows to go: activate sleep mode
For security reasons, Windows to go cannot be put into sleep mode. In this guide, we show you how to activate it.
How to enable sleep mode in Windows to go
The sleep mode is deactivated by default, as this allows you to switch Windows to go to multiple devices better on the fly.
- First go to the "Windows" or "winnt" folder.
- Open the "regedit.exe" or "regedt32.exe" file. This is the Windows Registry Editor.
- Click through the following folders to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, System, CurrentControlSet, Policies, Microsoft, PortableOperatingSystem.
- If the last keys do not exist, right-click in the right window and choose "New"> "Key".
- Double-click the "Hibernate" key. If this is not available, create it as well.
- Change the value from "0" (deactivated) to "1" "activated). The sleep mode is now active.
