Turn off the laptop microphone
If you are afraid that your computer is being tapped, or if you generally do not want to be heard during video calls, you should deactivate the microphone.
- Open the Control Panel and click on the "Hardware and Sound" category.
- If you select "Sound" here, a small window opens.
- Switch to the "Recording" tab and right click on the microphone.
- Then select "Deactivate" and confirm your decision by clicking "OK".
- If you would like to reactivate the microphone later, simply carry out the steps again.
