How to uninstall Windows Media Player
Follow these five steps to remove Windows Media Player from your system.
- Under "Start"> "Control Panel"> "Programs" open "Programs and Features".
- In the left sidebar you will find the option "Activate or deactivate Windows functions". Select this - a new window will then open.
- Expand the view under "Media Features".
- There you uncheck "Windows Media Player". A window opens, which you must confirm with "Yes".
- Then confirm the window with OK and restart your computer. Windows Media Player is then uninstalled.
Reinstall Windows Media Player
However, if you want to reinstall your Windows Media Player, activate the checkmark in the above steps again. Then you have to restart your computer. The Windows Media Player is then installed on your computer again.
