Reset Windows Media Player - Here's how
Windows Media Player can not be easily reinstalled, but you can reset it with a trick. We show you how to do it.
Reset Windows Media Player
There is no function in Windows Media Player that you can use to reset the program. Instead, you have to make an adjustment to the program folder:
- Open Explorer and navigate to the path "C: \ Users". Here you open the folder with your user name.
- Then go to the "AppData" folder. To see it, you need to show hidden folders and files in the folder options.
- Next, navigate to "Local"> "Microsoft".
- Here you will find the folder "Media Player". Rename it "Media Player Broken" and start the Media Player.
- It is now completely reset.
