Stop Windows Media Player when changing users
By default, music playback remains active in the background and can no longer be controlled from the other account. The Windows Media Player can also be started there. This then runs in parallel in an additional process. Since this double reproduction should only rarely be desired in practice, it is better to prohibit this behavior in the options of the application:
- Start the Windows media player. To access the menu, right-click on an empty space on the top control bar or press the [Alt] key.
- Open the command »View | Plug-ins | Options ".
- Switch to the »Player« tab.
- There you activate the option »Stop playback when the user is changed«.
- Confirm this one after the other with »Apply« and »OK«. The change is effective without a restart. Playback will stop as soon as Windows shows the login dialog again. Even after logging in to the original user account, playback must be restarted if desired.
