Windows Movie Maker error: MF.dll is missing
- After downloading and installing Windows Movie Maker, an error message often appears stating that the MF.dll file is missing. However, this problem can be solved relatively easily.
- Download the MF.dll file from the dll-files.com website. Make sure that you choose the ZIP package and not the fixer.
- Open the directory where Windows Movie Maker was installed. Unzip the downloaded ZIP archive here.
- Alternatively, if the problem occurs in Windows 8.1, you can fix it by installing the Media Feature Pack.
