Windows: keyboard shortcut for projectors
You can transfer your screen content under Windows to a projector using a key combination. We have summarized in this overview how this works and which different options you can choose from.
Windows: Send the image to the projector using a key combination
Before you can use the key combination, you must connect a projector to your computer. Then press [Windows] + [P] to open the projector settings. Here you have four options:
- "PC screen only": Select this option to disconnect the projector and only display your desktop on the PC monitor.
- "Duplicate": With this you output your desktop both on the PC screen and on the projector.
- "Extend": In this way you enlarge your desktop virtually. The display of your PC screen is independent of the display on the projector. You can open other windows on the monitor than on the projector.
- "Second screen only": With these settings, your PC screen is deactivated and all images are only output via the projector.
If your projector is too dark or the resolution is no longer up to date, you should consider buying a new one. In the next article, we will reveal what things you should definitely look out for when purchasing a projector. We also tested many models. You will find the result in our projector leaderboard.
