• The Windows Update Agent, WUA for short, is a system application that checks for updates and thus keeps your system up to date.
• The agent often works in the background so that you don't notice much of the work.
• In some cases, Windows will notify you that new updates are being downloaded or are available. However, you can ignore these messages, as they will disappear after a few seconds.
• The Windows Update Agent cannot be uninstalled.
• As an alternative, you can deactivate the automatic updates if you disturb them.
• However, please note that from then on you will no longer receive automatic updates. You must then run Windows Update manually to keep your system up to date.
