How to start Windows Vista in Safe Mode
Preparations: Before starting Safe Mode in Windows Vista, first remove all CDs or DVDs from your drive. In addition, you should not have inserted any USB sticks or SD cards.
- Restart your PC by clicking the Windows icon in the lower left of the task bar. Next to "Shutdown" click on the little arrow and select the option "Restart".
- As soon as your PC reboots, press and hold the [F8] key. When the Windows boot logo appears, press F8 again.
- Now the extended login window appears. Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" and confirm with [Enter].
- Tip: If you should not go into safe mode with [F8], try with [F5].
