Uninstall Windows Vista completely
You can't just uninstall Windows Vista like a program. Instead, you need to format your hard drive to really remove all of the system's data. Before you continue with the following instructions, you should therefore make a backup of your personal data.
- First switch to the BIOS and change the boot order so that booting primarily from a CD / DVD.
- Now insert the Windows Vista installation disk and restart the system. The Vista installation mode opens.
- Select "Install now" and click "Next" until you come to the selection of the hard drive.
- Select the hard drive on which Vista is located and click "Format" below. You must confirm this process.
- Wait for the formatting to finish. After that, Vista was completely uninstalled. You can now exit the installation mode.
