Windows Vista updates are not installed
Updates are intended to stabilize and further protect Windows. But what to do if updates are not installed under Vista? We present possible solutions in this practical tip.
You can do this if updates are not installed on Windows Vista
- The system file responsible for the updates may be damaged.
- To do this, go to this page and select "Windows Vista". Then download the appropriate file for your system.
- Run the program and wait for the scan to finish. Then try again to update.
- You can also try to update with the Windows DVD.
- Place this in the drive and restart the PC. Boot from the DVD and choose "Install Now". Enter the product key if asked for and accept the license terms. Click on "Choose an installation type" and then on "Update". After installing the updates, you can restart and use your PC as usual.
- You can also use this Fix-it to reset the update components and thus possibly eliminate errors.
