Windows: What is the difference between "Ok" and "Apply"?
Change settings in Windows, the difference between the options "OK" and "Apply" is small but nice.
"OK" or "Apply": When should you choose what under Windows?
If you have changed a setting in the Windows control panel, you will usually discover the two buttons "OK" and "Apply". If you click on one of the two buttons, Windows takes over your modification. So there is no difference between the two options. You notice the decisive difference if you want to change various settings in a menu.
- If you clicked the "Apply" button, Windows saves your changes. However, the menu remains open so that you can adjust other settings.
- It is different with the "OK" option. After you have pressed the button, the changed setting is accepted and the menu is closed at the same time.
