Windows: restore clipboard - does it work?
Often you want to be able to restore the clipboard under Windows. Windows itself cannot do this - but we will show you how you can still save several texts to the clipboard.
Extended clipboard with the ClipboardManager
If you have saved a text in the clipboard, you can no longer access previously copied elements. To prevent future data loss, use the "ClipboardManager".
- After the installation you will see a double arrow symbol for the "ClipboardManager" in the task bar. Click on it to see your saved texts.
- Select the desired entry in the first dropdown list and copy the text you want to access from the text field below.
- You can then insert the text in a program as usual.
The "ClipboardManager" stores up to 50 entries for you. However, only texts and no images or other files are saved. In another practical tip, we will show you how to empty the clipboard in Windows 8.
