WinSIM: cellular network, coverage and quality
If you conclude a tariff with WinSIM, make calls in the o2 e-network.
- Network coverage of o2: Especially in metropolitan areas it is quite good, so that you usually have no problems in large cities, for example.
- The situation is somewhat different in the more rural areas: the more remote the location, the greater the likelihood that network coverage and network quality are poor and sometimes hardly available.
- UMTS roaming is intended to further improve the connection quality of o2. You are automatically logged into either the o2 or E-Plus network, depending on which network is currently stronger. However, the transition phase will still take some time because E-Plus has only been part of Telefónica since 2014.
- To be sure in advance, you should first check the network coverage for your area online before concluding a tariff with WinSIM.
- At the moment, you are usually better advised in rural areas with a smartphone tariff in the D network. For example at Telekom.
