Witcher 3: buy saddlebags for more gear
With the saddlebags that you can buy in "The Witcher 3", you have the option to carry more equipment and other items. In addition to the saddlebags, some other tips for more space in the inventory also help.
Witcher 3: You can buy and win these saddlebags
If you equip the saddlebags, you can carry more equipment. You get the saddlebags in "The Witcher 3" in two ways.
- Saddlebags instantly expand your inventory. If you equip a saddlebag with roach, you can carry more stuff in the inventory without having to manually move the items.
- There are a total of three different saddlebags, which we will introduce to you below.
- The "normal saddlebag" increases the inventory capacity by 30 kilograms. You can buy them from the dealer in Lindenvale in Velen for 100 crowns.
- With the "tattered saddlebag" you can carry another 70 kilograms. The bag costs 320 crowns and is available from the dealer in Erzdorf in Velen.
- The "Serrican saddlebag" extends the inventory by a full 100 kilograms and can be bought for 904 kroner from the dealer near the beggar king in Novigrad.
- You can also win bags at horse races. If you are lucky, you will also receive new saddles and blinders in addition to the bags.
Witcher 3: tips for efficient wearing
Despite saddlebags, the space in the inventory quickly becomes tight. With the following tips you can carry things even more efficiently.
- Sell weak equipment to the blacksmith. Guns and armor in particular weigh a lot and take up a lot of space in the inventory. In addition, the equipment is worth a lot and quickly fills the wallet when it is sold.
- Use the crafting. It allows you to make good swords and armor from useless crafting ingredients. This saves you money, more space in your inventory and better armor and swords.
- After some playing time, the items accumulate in quite a high number. So it is not unlikely that you will wear 50 wolf skins after a few hours. Since you can't handle so many, you should sell most of them.
- Dismantle a few ingredients at the blacksmith. This does cost some money, but often the sum of the individual parts takes up less space than the whole item.
- If you can no longer sell to a blacksmith or a trader because their budget is exhausted, meditate 24 hours before their shop. Then he has money again and can buy more items from you.
- As of patch 1.07, there is an item chest. There you can store some items that you do not need on the trip.
There are also numerous Easter Eggs in "The Witcher 3". You can find out how to find these in the next practical tip.
