The Witcher 3 system requirements
After countless rumors, the official system requirements for "The Witcher 3" have been released. We show you what your system should do for the game.
System requirements for The Witcher 3 are very high
The Witcher 3 will be released on May 19, 2015. The requirements for the PC are exceptionally high:
- Processor: The manufacturer recommends at least an Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz, or an AMD Phenom II X4 940. For a gaming experience in the highest resolution you will need an Intel Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz or an AMD FX-8350 4 GHz,
- Graphics card: For the graphics display you need at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7870. We recommend an Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 or an AMD Radeon R9 290.
- RAM: So that the game does not overload your system, you need at least 6 GB of RAM. Even 8 GB is recommended.
- OS, memory, DirectX: You also need the 64-bit version of Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. DirectX 11 and 40 GB of free space are also necessary.
The Witcher 3 for Xbox One and Playstation 4
- On Playstation 4, chances are good that you can enjoy "The Witcher 3" in 1080p. However, those responsible emphasized that a stable 30 fps would be more important to them.
- You will find the cheapest price for the PS 4 version.
- Xbox One users will probably have to be satisfied with a resolution that is upscaled to 1080p.
