Save WLAN passwords on USB stick
In Windows 7 you do not have to remember the WiFi passwords - you can easily save them on a USB stick. All you need is a USB stick that is formatted in FAT-32 format.
Windows 7: Save WLAN passwords on USB stick
- First of all, insert the stick into a USB port on your computer.
- Now you have to find your WLAN networks in the Control Panel. The easiest way to do this is to type "Manage Wireless Networks" into your Windows search. Then click on the result found.
- Now you can see all the WiFi networks you were connected to. Right-click on a WiFi network that you want to export and select "Properties" from the context menu.
- Now a window opens in which you will find the item "Copy this network profile to a USB flash drive" in the lower half. Click on the point and then press "Next".
- In addition to your network profile, a file called "setupSNK.exe" is also copied to the stick. If you want to transfer the WiFi profile and password to another PC, all you have to do is insert the stick and run this file.
If you also want to get the WiFi password on an Android device, we will show you the procedure in this guide.
