Show WiFi consumption on Android
The settings on your Android smartphone show the consumption with a mobile data connection by default. In this article, we explain how to find out how much Wi-Fi is used.
Show data usage in WLAN
- Open the settings of your smartphone and switch to the "Connections" tab.
- Tap "Data usage." The consumption of mobile data is now displayed here.
- If you press the menu button on your smartphone (for Samsung phones, for example, to the left of the home button) you will see several options.
- There you tick the box "Show WLAN usage".
- Now two tabs appear at the top, which you can use to switch between mobile data and WiFi.
Tip: We will show you on the next page how to create a WLAN hotspot for your smartphone on the PC and thus conserve your data quota. The procedure described above refers to Android 4.4 on a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
