Word 2016: Hide menu - so it'll work
If you want to hide the menu in Word 2016, this works in two different ways. We present both options in this article.
Hide menu in Word 2016
The menu takes up a lot of space, especially on smaller screens. If you are currently writing and do not want to edit the layout, the menu can simply be hidden.
- With the left mouse button, double click on any tab in the menu, for example on "Start". The menu then disappears.
- If you want to use the menu again, simply click on the desired tab. If you have used the desired option and click on the text again, the menu disappears again.
- If you want to see the menu permanently again, double-click on a tab as in the first step.
- Note: At the bottom right of the menu you will also find a button to hide the numerous options.
