Word 2016: Open the storage location directly with "Save as"
With Word 2016, you have to go through "Save As" every time before you can choose where to save it. You can remove this step if you want to get to the file path immediately.
Word 2016: How to open the Explorer directly with "Save As"
- Many users find it annoying that they always have to take an extra step to "save as". To change this, open "File" and then "Options".
- Now switch to the "Save" tab.
- In the overview you will find the setting "Do not show backstage when opening or saving files" (see picture). You have to tick this.
- Then click "OK" and restart Word.
- If you now click on "Save as", the Explorer appears immediately and you can select the storage location.
On the next page we show how to insert a PDF into Word.
