Word: Center images - how it works
In Microsoft Word you can insert and center images, among other things. In this practical tip, we explain step by step how to center already inserted images.
Center images in Microsoft Word
Even if several versions of Microsoft Word already exist, the processes for processing the images are mostly identical or differ only slightly. The following instructions refer to Word 2013 and can also be applied to older versions with just a few differences.
- As soon as you have opened Word and inserted any picture, select it in the program by clicking it with the left mouse button.
- Another option with the name "Image Tools" should appear in the tab above, which is highlighted in color.
- Go to "Image Tools" and then to "Position". Here you can use the three middle options to decide whether you want to "center on top", "center on center" or "center on bottom" by clicking on the respective button.
- You can make individual settings under "Other layout options". This is how you decide whether you want to center the image horizontally, vertically or with the text.
