Convert Word file to JPG - Here's how
With a few tricks, you can also save a Word file as a JPG. This can then be inserted and edited in a graphics program, for example. You can find out how to do this in this practical tip.
Convert Word files to JPEG files using a screenshot
The fastest way to convert your Word file to a JPG is to simply take a screenshot of it. This is particularly suitable for individual pages.
- You can use the Windows on-board tool "Snipping Tool" or alternatively the very good program "Greenshot".
- Use the [Print] button to trigger the screenshot. To do this, select the "New" button on the Snipping Tool.
- Then select the ".webp" format under "Save as ...".
Quickly convert multiple Word pages to JPG format
If you want to convert several pages into JPG format, the screenshot method is very nerve-wracking. It is better here if you first convert the Word document into PDF format and then into a JPG file:
- In Word, first select the "File"> "Save As" button and set the PDF format under "File Type".
- Confirm the step by clicking on "Save".
- To convert the PDF file to a JPG graphic, you need a special program - unfortunately, the popular Adobe Reader does not have the required function.
- A suitable software for this is, for example, the "PDF24 Creator".
- Insert the PDF file here and click on the "Save As ..." button (two floppy disks serve as symbols).
- Then just specify the JPG format as file types and the individual pages are saved in the target folder.
- Tip: In addition, here you will find detailed instructions on how to use the PDF24 Creator to convert PDF files to JPG format. This also works online, as we show in our video.
