You can save a Word document in many formats, including a JPG file. We show you what you need and how it works.
How to save Word documents as JPG with one tool
You cannot save a document as a JPG file directly from Word. With the help of a practical tool you can easily convert it into an image file:
- Download the "PDFCreator" to the PC and install the tool.
- In MS Word, switch to the "File" menu tab and click on "Print".
- Now select "PDFCreator" as the printer. If you click on "Print", the "PDFCreator" opens.
- Open the profile settings by clicking on "Settings". Under "Image formats" you can define colors, resolution and quality. Save the settings.
- Now that you are back in the PDFCreator start window, click "Save" again, select the storage location and "jpg" as the format.
- In addition to this option, there are two other options for saving a Word document as a JPG. Both work with on-board means.

You can also save a Word document in JPG format using Paint.
- Step 1 : The Word document must be visible as a whole - or at least the part that you want to save as an image. It's best to maximize Word to full screen view and set the zoom to 100 percent. Take a screenshot of the entire screen by pressing [Windows] and [Print] at the same time.
- Step 2 : Open the screenshot in Paint and cut out the section of the document. So remove the Word interface from the image. To do this, drag a selection frame around the desired section with the right mouse button and select "Cut"
- Step 3 : Click on "File -> Save As" and on the right side on the format "JPG". Now name the JPG and save it on your hard drive.

- Step 1 : Set Word back to full screen and the zoom to 100 percent.
- Step 2 : Start "Snipping Tool" and click on "New". With the mouse button held down, draw a selection frame around the Word document.
- Step 3 : As soon as you release the mouse button, the screenshot is taken and the snipping tool shows the recording. Select "File -> Save As" and the location to save the image.
