Hide document history in MS Word
Microsoft Word automatically shows your recently used documents. If you want to turn this display off, do the following:
- Word 2003: Open "Word 2003". Go to "Tools" - "Options" in the menu bar and select "General". Enter a "0" in the list of recently viewed files to disable the display.
- Word 2007: Open the Office button at the top left and click on "Advanced" under "Options". Now set the number of recently used documents to "0". Files are no longer displayed.
- Word 2010 and Word 2013: Click "File" - "Options". Here too, go to the "Advanced" function and select the number of recently used documents. Write a "0" here to turn the display off.
