In Word, the page formats within a document can vary. This means that even a single page can be created in landscape format, while the others are still in portrait format. This function is useful if, for example, you want to insert a diagram that only fits in one of the two formats. How to adjust the individual pages.
Section breaks in Word help to create a single page in landscape format
If you want Word to have a portrait page followed by a landscape page, use a section break.
- Place the cursor behind the last paragraph of your document, which should still be in portrait format.
- Go to the menu bar and press the "Page layout" button.
- There you will see the button "Breaks", which you click with the left mouse button.
- Now go to the item "Next page". This inserts a section break in your document and the cursor moves to the beginning of the next page.
- Finally, just select the landscape format under "Orientation".
