Word: Show footer only on one page
You can only display the footer in Word on a single page. You can find out exactly how to do this in these instructions.
How to show the footer in Word on only one page
Follow these steps to display a footer in Word on only one page:
- Switch to the "Page layout" tab and click on "Breaks".
- Select the item "Next page" here. This default setting is necessary so that the footer is later only displayed on one page.
- Now you can insert the footer by double clicking on the bottom of the page.
- When the footer appears on the next few pages, double-click it again. Remove the checkmark at "Link to previous" in the tab "Draft" (see screenshot).
- You can then delete the content of the footnote on the page on which you do not want the footer to appear.
This practical tip relates to Word 2010 under Windows 7. You will learn how to display page numbers in Word from page 3 in another practical tip.
