You only need the header on the first page in the Word document. In this article, we show you how to set this up at Office Online.
How to set up the header in Word
With "Office Online" from Microsoft you can create and edit free Word documents in the browser.
- First open the document.
- Go to the "Insert" tab at the top and select "Header and footer".
- With "Options" you define that the first page should be different. The corresponding command is "First page different".
- Now enter the text you want in the header of the first page.
- Leave the header for the other pages completely blank.
- Now the header is only inserted on the first page.
- With the offline program, you also first insert the header and footer and then define the header using the "Layout" tab.
- Illustrated instructions can be found in the picture gallery.
