Word: Draw staves - how it works
In Word you can draw staves with simple means. We'll show you how to do it best.
Create staves in a Word document
- Open a blank Word document.
- In the "Start" tab, select the "Underline" option.
- Place your cursor at the beginning of the line.
- If you now press [Tab], a line is drawn.
- Hold down [Tab] until you have created 5 lines. Use [Enter] for a free line and repeat this procedure several times if necessary.
Word: Adjust staves
You can further configure the staves created:
- With the font size you can freely change the spacing of the lines.
- To insert the vertical lines at the beginning and end of the staff, click the "Insert"> "Shapes" tab.
- Select the "line".
- Then draw a vertical line on the left side from the first to the last staff line. Repeat this step for the right side as well.
- Tip: You can also mark the staff lines, copy them with [CTRL] + [C] and then paste them as often as you like.
