Word: Print borderless - it's that easy
Printing a document borderless with Word is not a big art - we will show you how it works.
1. Borderless printing of the Word document: the requirements
So that you can print Word documents borderlessly, your printer must of course also support borderless printing. Therefore, first change the settings:
- First go to the "File" tab in Word. You may have to expand the view using the small tick below. Then select "Page setup".
- In the dialog box change all margins to 0cm.
- If you get a problem message, your printer may not be able to print borderless. With "Correct" the smallest possible margins are selected. "Ignore" ignores the problem, although text and images on the edge may not be able to be printed exactly.
2. Print the Word document borderless
If you have set the page margins to 0cm (or as low as possible), you can now continue printing:
- To do this, select "File"> "Print".
- Now the dialog window with the print settings opens. Select your printer there and then click on "Properties".
- Select "Borderless A4" as the format and confirm with OK.
- You can then change the number or something similar, or you can start printing directly by clicking OK again.
- If your printer supports borderless printing, you will now receive your borderless document.
If you are using a Mac, you can also print borderless under MacOS.
